Life Skills: All SimBale Sports youth camp programs include a daily focus on lifetime sports skills and motivational techniques, including:

  • Plyometrics, exercises designed to improve movement and power.
  • Physical conditioning, flexibility, eating and nutrition
  • Team-building through cooperative games, fair play and positive self-affirmation.
  • Personal appearance strategies and communication techniques.
  • Sport history and sporting architecture, the science of movement and physical performance.
  • Mental training, visualization and focus techniques leading to improved physical and cognitive performance.
  • Relaxation techniques fostering greater productivity in the classroom, better stress coping abilities.

    image1EXTREME SPORTS WEEK – Who needs a gym when your natural surroundings can be a creative and challenging athletic environment? This program begins with fundamental techniques for mind and body in bouldering and rock wall challenges, as well as instruction in mountain biking expertise. The course also covers an introduction to gymnastic and tumbling, which provides the foundation for ‘Parkour,’ a French term meaning the ‘art of displacement.’  With both indoor and outdoor Parkour exercises, SimBale Sports develops the body and mind to move quickly and efficiently to overcome obstacles – and defy gravity.

    - Rock Wall Climbing / Bouldering / Slack ropes

    - Mountain Biking (bike and hlemet are required)

    - Parkour / Tumbling / Acrobatics

    Hall of Fame Sports Week – Embodying the core mission of SimBale Sports, this week-long program is designed to motivate and excite young people into becoming active and fit individuals throughout their lifetime.  This week is designed for the all-around athlete who loves variety.  Each sport will  emphasize basic skills along with the fun, challenging  and extreme activities that SimBale has become known for.

    - Strong Person Volleyers and Cooperative Games

    - Ultimate Superstar Challenge

    Two Minutes to Win It Sports Week - This week will reach out to the Olympians at heart who would like to improve their all-around skills through a carnival type atmosphere.  This weeks  games and activities will help to improve overall fitness, including eye-hand coordination and the development of team spirit.

    - Pedometer Day and Ultimate Frisbee Olympics

    - Field Day Fun and Carnival Challenges

    - Titanium Track and Field Day

    - Dare to Dance Day

    BIKING AND BEYOND WEEK – This week will focus on honing individual and team skills  through the popular sport of biking.  Tips, tricks and advanced techniques, along with a foundational understanding of the bike are combined to build better cyclists ona variety of terrain.  The program concludes with ”Amazing Race” and Geocaching Challenge.

    - Tune It, Turn It and Burn It biking basics (bike and helmet required)

    - Mountain biking (skills will be developed according to skill level)

    - Road racing and team peleton challenges

    - Luck Peak Triathlon (running, biking and swimming according to skill level)
